These Terms of Use govern access to Mississauga Pot Lights and the use of its pages, guides, forms, photographs, and other website content. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or submit information through it.
Website purpose
The site provides general information about pot lights, fixtures, controls, exterior lighting, project planning, and related services in Mississauga. It also provides a way to submit questions and request project information.
Website content is not a binding quotation, contract, electrical design, engineering drawing, permit determination, inspection, code opinion, legal opinion, or guarantee that a particular installation is possible. A website page cannot account for every product instruction, concealed condition, property rule, or project requirement.
Enquiries, appointments, and estimates
Submitting a form, calling, or sending an email does not create a service contract and does not guarantee a response, appointment, price, schedule, or service availability. A request can be declined when it falls outside the service area, available scope, scheduling capacity, or required trade authorization.
Any estimate is based on the information and conditions available when it is prepared. Unless a written estimate states otherwise, website descriptions and preliminary communications should not be treated as fixed pricing or a complete scope. Products, quantities, access, wiring, controls, finishing, permits or notifications, tax, disposal, and work by other trades should be confirmed in the written agreement.
A contract exists only when the applicable parties accept a final written scope or agreement according to its stated acceptance process. If a written agreement conflicts with these general website terms on a project-specific issue, the written agreement controls for that issue.
Project conditions and changes
Lighting work can be affected by framing, joists, concrete, ducts, pipes, insulation, vapour barriers, fire separations, existing wiring, damaged components, ceiling finishes, product compatibility, access limits, condominium rules, landlord approvals, and other concealed or site-specific conditions.
Photographs, dimensions, plans, and descriptions help with initial review but may not reveal those conditions. A layout, product, route, price, or schedule may need to change after an on-site assessment or after concealed conditions become visible. Any material change should be explained and authorized according to the project agreement before the additional work proceeds, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety.
Drywall openings, patching, texture repair, primer, painting, millwork, masonry, roofing, landscaping, access equipment, furniture movement, and work by other trades are included only when the written scope says they are included.
Electrical work and approvals
Electrical installation work in Ontario must follow applicable law and the Ontario Electrical Safety Code. Businesses offering electrical installation work to the public must have the required authorization. Before work begins, confirm the Licensed Electrical Contractor responsible for the electrical work and verify any licence representation through the Electrical Safety Authority.
Many electrical projects require an ESA notification and inspection process. The requirement depends on the actual work and applicable exceptions. A municipal building permit, condominium approval, landlord approval, or heritage requirement is separate from an ESA notification and may also apply.
Only the written project scope can establish who is responsible for notification fees, inspections, permits, approvals, product supply, testing, records, or corrective work. Keep the accepted agreement, approved changes, invoices, product information, and any Certificate of Acceptance or other project records.
Products, controls, and customer-supplied items
Products must be approved for use in Ontario and suitable for the actual interior, damp, wet, insulated, exterior, or other installation condition. Appearance, package wording, or online marketplace listings do not by themselves establish suitability.
Compatibility among LED fixtures, drivers, lamps, dimmers, sensors, timers, smart switches, wiring, load, and multi-location controls must be evaluated for the actual system. Colour temperature, tint, beam, output, dimming performance, and finish can vary among products and production batches.
When a customer supplies a fixture or device, responsibility for product selection, missing parts, damage, assembly, listing, support, compatibility, return costs, and manufacturer warranty must be confirmed before installation. Installation cannot proceed if a product appears unsafe, unsuitable, damaged, incomplete, or not approved for the intended use.
Photographs, examples, and expected results
Images and galleries illustrate lighting ideas, applications, components, and planning conditions. They are not represented as completed company projects unless the accompanying caption expressly identifies verified project provenance.
Lighting appearance depends on ceiling height, room geometry, finishes, daylight, fixture optics, colour rendering, installation, control settings, camera exposure, screen calibration, and personal preference. A photograph or general guide does not promise that another property will look or perform the same way.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and to identify known access restrictions, property rules, hazardous materials, water intrusion, damaged wiring, previous electrical issues, or other conditions relevant to the request. You are responsible for obtaining permission to submit photographs, plans, addresses, and files that belong to or identify another person or property.
You must not use the site to:
- submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or impersonating information;
- upload malware, executable code, unlawful material, or unrelated sensitive records;
- attempt to bypass security, access restricted systems, scrape the site excessively, or interfere with normal operation;
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights; or
- use the forms for spam, solicitation, harassment, or automated submissions.
We may block, remove, or disregard submissions that appear abusive, unsafe, unlawful, irrelevant, or technically harmful.
Website content and intellectual property
The site’s original text, layout, branding, graphics, and compiled content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and print a reasonable copy for your own project planning. You may not republish, sell, systematically copy, frame, or create a competing content library from the site without written permission.
Product names, company names, and third-party marks belong to their respective owners. Reference to a third party does not imply sponsorship or endorsement unless expressly stated.

Governing law
These website terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Any dispute concerning only the website or these terms will be addressed in the courts or tribunals having jurisdiction in Ontario, subject to any mandatory consumer right that applies.
Changes to the site or terms
Pages, services, features, and these terms may be changed, suspended, or removed. The date at the top identifies the latest published terms. Continued use after an update means the updated terms apply to later site use, but it does not retroactively replace a separately signed project agreement.
